WHEN A TIGER DIES HE LEAVES BEHIND HIS SKIN.
A MAN LEAVES BEHIND HIS REPUTATION"
Longy’s philosophies came not from courses and accumulating 'certificates,' but from his own direct experiences
and although dropped casually they always left an impression and inspiration on me,
.
“BELIEVE IN YOURSELF,
WORK TO REALIZE YOUR POTENTIAL
AND YOU’LL BE ABLE TO CREATE
THE LIFE YOU DREAM OF.
DON’T FALL INTO THE TRAP
OF SEEING YOURSELF AS A VICTIM.”
“TREAT YOUR SELF TO A HAPPIER LIFE.”
You owe it to yourself to make the most of what you have been given and what you can make for yourself.
The backbone behind all success and fulfillment is good health and good attitude.
And the two feed each other.
"GOOD SPIRITS ARE A VITAL PART OF GOOD HEALTH."
Laughter and positive emotions are of great psychological value, helping to release fear and anxiety.
Changing negative thoughts and behavior into positive ones can change your life.
“LAUGHTER IS AN INSTANT ENERGIZER.”
"YOU CAN LIVE TO 100. BUT IF YOU HAVEN’T HELPED PEOPLE YOURSELF,
WHAT HAVE YOU REALLY ACHIEVED?"
You don’t have to live a long life to be happy - the true worth of life is based on dignity, your reputation, not for
what you have accumulated ,but for the positive things you have done for your fellow man and the world.
Real men don’t talk about long life, whether they be priests or monks but the quality of the life, what you leave behind.
What you’ve done for people. How they feel about themselves.
“A PAT ON THE BACK CAN SOMETIMES BE THE MOST
MOST POWERFUL KICK START.
THE PERSON FEELS SUPPORTED, IT’S IGNITION BY HAND.”
BREAK OUT OF THE PRISON CELL MENTALITY.
Longy and his father were imprisoned at different times. His father for twelve years for re education. And Longy, at 14, for 2 weeks.
Longy was able to transform his prison experience from being confining into another opportunity to expand
his ever growing knowledge and inquiring mind. You don’t need a lot of room to stay healthy and vital.
with the simple secrets of posture and breathing he could vitalize his body and maintain good health
within the limited confines of a cell.
MASSAGE: THE FORGOTTEN MEDICINE OF WAR.
“FAMILY MEMBERS SHOULD LEARN TO MASSAGE EACH OTHER,
THE HUMAN RAPPORT IT GENERATES YOU WILL ALWAYS FEEL BETTER FOR
AND EVERYONE WILL FEEL MUCH BETTER.”
MEDICINE OR HERBS: IT’S HORSES FOR COURSES.
Longy knew little about Western medicines until one of his father’s bodyguards was bitten by a venomous green bamboo viper. Longy saw the guard bitten and immediately applied a tourniquet. The guard drove to the hospital, him steering while Longy madly worked the pedals and changed gears. The guard was given priority and given anti-venom.
Longy never forgot the effectiveness of the anti- venom.
Around this time he came down with mumps, he was give the antibiotics that were available
but he also treated himself with herbs and lime : three and a half days later he was fixed.
Longy believes the effects can’t be separated from each other. One medicine is for emergencies, one is for prevention and healing.
THE BODY IS YOUR TEMPLE.
THERE SHOULD BE QUITE AND CONTEMPLATIVE TIMES
AND THERE CAN BE TIMES OF CELEBRATION
BUT ALWAYS CLEAN UP IN THE TEMPLE AFTER THE CELEBRATIONS.”
"Are you eating for your body or your tongue"
When Longie’s father was released from prison he was still healthy simply because he controlled what and how he ate.
Even when you are starving, you still have to be strong and exercise self control for some foods can do more damage.
Control yourself, filling your stomach to stop hunger doesn’t mean you’ll have a healthy body or solve your problems.
Most people today have to eat a lot because their bodies demand it, but it turns to fat and they lose metabolism.
Their bodies overwork, like a car overworks when it’s towing a heavy load, and the digestive systems are overloaded.
This overworking can wear out the digestive functions resulting in a shorter life span.
“LIFE IS LIKE A TOILET SEAT,
SOONER OR LATER
YOU HAVE TO GET OFF IT
AND HOPEFULLY NOT LEAVE A MESS."
